Low-Cost Counseling Fees and Insurance

 Sliding scale fee: $25 - $85 (fee is based on Monthly income) ** 

$25/session* (Medi-Cal)

$35/session* (Monthly Income Under $1000 - or Telehealth) 

$45/session* (Monthly Income $1001 - $1500 - or Medicare) 

$55/session* (Monthly Income $1501 - $2500 - or full-time college) $65/session* (Monthly Income $2501 - $3000) 

$75/session* (Monthly Income $3001+) 

*Note: Couples/Family $10 more session 

** Note:  Two most recent pay stubs and a checking account statement will need to be provided as proof of income for the sliding scale rate. Copy of a Medi-Cal insurance card will need to be provided for the Medi-Cal client rate. Copy of a full-time college class schedule showing current registration will need to be provided for the full-time college student rate. Due to our non-profit grant status, we can only offer the above fee schedule by verifying income, Medi-Cal Coverage, or full-time college student status. Failure to verify the above will result in the non-profit grants being withdrawn and the elimination of the sliding scale rate. 

Graduate students completing their Master's in Clinical Psychology will provide therapy services for clients. Graduate students are Marriage Family Therapist Trainees.  Insurance companies will not consider and reimburse for services rendered by trainees.  

Since we cannot submit claims to insurance, we have obtained non-profit grant funding status that allows us to offer a sliding scale rate.

Jennie Marie Battistin, LMFT, or Stacey Simmons, LMFT, both Licensed Therapists, will provide weekly supervision for trainees.  

MFT Trainees meet for weekly case consultation with their supervisor, and in some cases, sessions will be recorded via video or audio.  The supervisor will review and destroy the recordings.  

Graduate students have had extensive training and practice in the school environment before beginning services with clients in the clinical setting at Hope Therapy Community Counseling Center.
